    Re: New Detail Trailer

You guys need to stop posting these pictures of the interiors of you detail trailers as it has me wanting to go out there and finish mine. Not that my trailer is bad or anything but I would still like to have mine done up as well..

I need to direct some of the money to the graphics on the trailer as I am sure that it is going to set me back a bit due to what I am going to do.

Then I will focus on finishing up the interior.

    Re: New Detail Trailer

Chris, is that floor holding up? Would you install it in your rig again? I`m picking up my trailer within a week and will start outfitting it, starting with the floor.

I`m assuming your floor was steel? If so, I think I will be putting down a luan (sp?) floor first, then the tiles.

    Re: New Detail Trailer

    Shaun,
The floor in the trailer is actually 3/4 or 1 inch plywood, recessed in. I cleaned the floor very good before installing the self stick tiles. After cleaning the floor, I painted on an "adhesive primer". Picked up from Lowes for a few bucks. I picked up the self stick tiles from Home Depot. Not sure what I paid for them, but they were cheap.

Would I install them again in the trailer? I am split between a yes and no answer to be honest. The tiles are getting scratched up from sliding things around, hence why I want to put a rubber, runner mat down to help keep it lasting. a few tiles are coming up at the corner, but nothing a little glue couldn`t fix.

If you are looking for cheap, I would say use the tiles. If you want MORE durability, look for something else or add a rubber mat down like I am going to.

EDIT.....sent you a PM as well

    Re: New Detail Trailer

When I had my trailer I put linoleum down and it held up really well. Just like it would on your kitchen floor anyhow.
