    Re: New Detail Trailer

What type of drop in noise level did you notice after running the exhaust threw the floor, if any?

I`ve run plenty of exhaust before and thought about doing that to drop the noise level. I really would like to make a set of smoke stacks with flappers for the pw/generator.

Sounds good. I can imagine how you are continually looking how you can improve the layout. I`m the same way.

I`m sure your parents will love the trailer. I remember when you got your old one, you brought it up here when you came to see them.

ok, long awaited update. small one though.

Father came down, and well, we had some time today, so we made one set of shelves so far. Still needs to be secured to the wall and filled up.
    PIC.....

will be building another on the other side. Not sure of the specs yet, but want it to hold my rags and pads....

I like the way that looks. I might just have to copy it just a bit with a few modifications to fit my trailer.

    Re: New Detail Trailer

    UPDATE...........

I re did the trailer, again! LOL
I wasn`t happy with the set-up before, so of course, had my Father build the shelf. Then everything was moved around.

    Pics....
All my bottles are now on one side of the trailer. I took everything off the back door.

All the brushes are now on the other side of the trailer. Along with my rags and pads. I put 3 bins above the the rags for the pads, which came out to be PERFECT size for the pads. I believe they hold 9 pads each. (6.5 inch)

And here is a pic from straight back. I think I have a lot more floor space now as well.

Don`t worry, I will still be doing A LOT more to it. Money has just been tight with the rain we have been having. I will be putting a rubber, runner mat down to help protect the floor. Also, hoping to get a central vac to put in the front corner. I want everything to be stationary.

    Re: New Detail Trailer

Chris, you don`t even know how much this thread will help me in the next few weeks. Your trailer set up; in one word, is IDEAL. I can`t wait to pick up my new truck tomorrow and my trailer shortly thereafter. Then I get to play construction site foreman for a few days and get my rig all looking purty like yours. It`s gonna be a lot of fun.

    YOU`RE A GENIUS!

    A couple q`s for ya:

Where did you get the self adhesive tile and how much? Would you install this type of flooring again? I read in your post you talking about some kind of mat.

Did you run the exhaust through double walled pipe at floor level or just stick her down through the floor?

The trailer will be a 6X12 haulmark transport. I honestly cannot wait to start customizing! I stumbled upon this website yesterday, they have some really cool looking stuff: Products | by diamondLifeâ„¢

    Once again,
    THANKS!

Great, I call him a king and you call him a genius.

Pretty soon his head won`t be able to fit in that trailer.

    Re: New Detail Trailer

    Chris,
You have inspired me, I recently baught a chevy 3/4 ton. Using a couple of your ideas like the stand for the reel mount and soon I think some peg board for my brushes. I hope you don`t mind, but it really looks like you have put some real thaught into the setup. Here a couple of pics almost done any suggestions?
