Differences between RL`s Washberm, and a Vacuuboom

Who can tell me the difference between rightlooks washberm (http://www.rightlook.com/index.asp?P...PROD&ProdID=22) and a vacuuboom (which I can find no retailer information anywhere.) I live in Michigan, and have been trying to contact the EPA to check and see if I even need one of these to do mobile detailing, I doubt we have any reclamation laws here. Regardless I would like to present myself in the most proffesional manner which would include using some type of water reclamation.
So who can tell me the differences between the two, besides the 10X higher price on a vacuuboom system. TIA

I Run My Moble Business In Fla And We Don"t Have To Use A Reclaim System. But I Have Heard Its Just A Matter Of Time. Its Up To You But I Would Wait And Invest Money Into Other Parts Of Your Business To Make It Grow, Hope This Will Help.
    Good Luck!!

Next year I would like to work at country clubs, office parks, and other venues where I think I will have a higher chance of landing the spot. Mobile Detailing is unheard of around here, at least real mobile detailing is. I don`t think these places would even consider letting me on their grounds without some type of water reclaimation.

Another Q for all you mobile guys, what is this with emptying your tanks into your sewer drainage line? This is legit? or how much do you pay to dump your tank at a coin op or the like?

Good for you for asking about all this. I`m too small to look into that stuff right now. Why not just go with QEW/ONR for the short term?

.....I wouldn`t mobile detailing is unheard of around here

From what I understand the Vacuboom actually creates a seal to the surface on which it`s placed on (asphalt, cement, etc...) RightLooks Berm is ment to be used with a water containment mat(i guess on cement or well rolled tar it would be better than nothing).I imagine you`ve seen the difference in pricing, RL has a full system(mat and reclamation vac) for a little over $1500 almost half of the Vacuboom, but I`m told the Vacuboom is much better to deal with on a daily basis, easier and quicker clean up , and storage. Kudos to you for looking into the proper way of doing business.

I thought the EPA Clean Water Act states that no water other than rain is allowed on the ground which could go down storm drains. Maybe they aren`t strict with it in all areas????
