    pricing question

About a month ago I washed & Waxed a Fordf150 ext cab lariet Big beautiful truck which was well cared for. the gentleman called me yesterday would like to have the truck cleaned up again which is great I charged him 190.00 last time now this time around I know how he keeps the vehicle should I consider charging a bit less? He`s the kind of customer that says money is no object but at the same time I`m not trying to take advantage or to be greedy just fair because I would like to keep him as a customer I thinking about charging him 20% less. Please share your views thanks.

I think if you charged 10% less that would be enough. He is a returning customer but like he said money is no object, and I know you will give him your best work so you deserve the money.

    Re: pricing question

When I get a customer for the first time I usually charge more simply because there is more work to be done. A month later if that customer calls back I know that there are certian things that probably won`t need to be done. The engine won`t take as long, it probably doesn`t need to be clayed, there probably aren`t as many swirls as there were, etc. Therefore the price is lower because I will spend less time on it. Once you get a vehicle up to your standard then it becomes easier to maintain it at that standard.

Ask the customer what his expectations are, what I mean is ; why did he call? there must be something specific that caught his attention, If it was only a month or so ago , It just might be a basic maintenance call (wash & wax, vac, windows, light detail.) 2 hours $125 later and everyone`s happy.

WTF?!?! I`m doing: Wash, vac, windows, interior and tire dressing for 30.00 + 5.00 if its larger.

I don`t want to hijack your thread but, Should i be charging more?
