I usually use Meguiars clay for customers and Wolfgang for my own car.

I use Four Star or Clay Magic clay. I used a bar of Wolfgang this week, but it was really crumbly. Maybe I just got a bad bar or something.... It really wasn`t what I wanted at all. I probably won`t be getting another Wolfgang bar just based on this experience. I don`t have any reason to switch from Four Star or Clay Magic.
As far as lube goes I just mix some Eagle One Bucketless Wash with water and use that. No sense in spending money on lube when soapy water does the exact same thing.
You must have gotten a really bad bar. Mine is full of elasticity and is by far the best clay bar I`ve ever used. I can understand you being upset with that experience, but I wouldn`t give up on them completely.Originally Posted by Jngrbrdman

Well, I figure since there are only two types of clay anyway and Wolfgang is supposed to be the same stuff as the clay I normally use, I`ll just chalk it up to getting a bad bar and leave it at that. I was just curious to know if it really was the same clay. Dwayne confirmed that I probably just got a bad bar, so I`ll just leave it at that.
BTW...shortd81, check your PMs.
There is a gas station near me that charges $45 for a clay magic clay job... I did an interior detail for a lady my moms friends with... She got a detail at the same place a month ago, and the detail package she paid for says they clay the cars and the paint was very rough! I wanted to say something about it, but there is not reason to upset a client.
Doesn`t Automagic own the patent(s) for all the clay in the world?

yeah i heard something like that too...i think its automagic and someone else that makes all the clayOriginally Posted by Shaun Carollo
In my business, I don`t really give them the option. Un less they ask. I chard $165 for a detail. That includes wash, clay, compound, seal, polish, or wax, whatever combo is required. Also the normal interior, wheels, windoes... blah, blah, blah. Then again, I pretty much only do BMW, and Porsche club guys, and money seems to matter very little to these guys.
Run! Ricer Boy, Run!
All my details include clay....I charge $200 plus.....I only offer one kind of detail so everything is included except motors those are $50 more

I`ve developed a great reputation here with my customers and that has now spilled over into the word of mouth thing...I went up from $150 to $200 this year....I do way to much work in compared to the other shops that are around me not to get at least the same amount...not one customer has said a thing to me about itOriginally Posted by Beercan31
