    Meguiars Car Wash Soap

Costco brought out a pallet of Megs Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner this week. It was in a 4.73 liter bottle (that`s 5 quarts), for the amazingly low price of $7.89. This is the first time I`ve seen it in that big a bottle, and I have to believe that`s a pretty good deal.

I have used the Meguiars GC soap and it is a good product. They may be getting rid of old stock due to Meg`s new labeling on their GC and NXT line.

The NXT soap is much better if you have hard water. It helps with the water spots, but I think the GC gives more suds for the wash.

Probably lots comparable, and some better. But at that price I had to jump.

I "juice it" with Poorboys APC, and use it mostly through a pressure washer to wash emeron finishes on 10 wheel trucks. Works like a charm.

Right now i use the NXT and PBs SS&S, Beleive it or not i`ve been using the kit soap for the winter. i had left over from someone else and it provides some good suds and staying power. I used 4 OZs undiluted Kit soap with the FG and that also provided quit a bit of sudsing action.I use to keep from using up my better soaps too soon.

I did buy the whole pallet, and before anyone calls me greedy, I`ll tell you why. I live and do commercial detailing and fleet washing in SoCal, and I do this work year round. Costco for some strange reason stocks this stuff at these great prices, but pulls it off the shelf in mid to late August, and it doesn`t reappear until early Spring. It`s some kind of marketing ploy of Costcos, but I think it`s pretty weird to pull a car wash soap off the shelf in a state that has little or no winter.

They had a full pallet in its place today.

Excellent idea I`ll bet that little potion really cuts through some tough grime quickly and easily. I`ve recently read where Steve added Bug Squash to his foam gun solution, which gave the idea to try adding a couple of ounces to my wash bucket for tough jobs. I don`t know what impact that would have. Just how much "juice" do you add? Or would you have to kill me? LOL

I mix it heavy. One Gallon APC
    One Gallon GC
    13 Gallons SOFTENED Water

It`s injected at 18-20 ounces per minute through a cat pump that pushes 5 gpm, at anywhere from 1500 to 3500 psi (depending on what I`m washing).

Good soaps are very important, but soft water is key.
