    Re: My Trailer

I bought it regular price at Tractor Supply Company. http://www.mytscstore.com/default.asp The tag was about $140.
It is a 65 gallon tank.
I found some on ebay cheaper, but the shipping makes up for it. Comes out about the same. Here is the ebay store link....the guy has tons of different sizes. Vertical and horizontal. http://stores.ebay.com/TANKS-MORE

Cool, thanks for the response. Good looking setup btw. I like the idea of the do-it-yourself trailer setup. I definitely don`t have the coin to drop on a rig that`s already setup. Thanks for the help

Hey Tex..if you are looking for a generator..go to PepBoys...if there near you...I got a 3500 watt for under 300$ and it works like a champ...they have smaller ones if 3500 is more than you need...go to there site and look at the flyer..they are always in there...

I bought mine for power back up during snow storms..but I find myself using it for every thing I do outside that needs power instead of running cords from house....and they are very quiet....a lot of RV users buy them for their quietness.

OH great looking boy...I see he got his good looks from Mom..

And great job on the trailer...you did a fine job.....

Don`t crowd that trailer to much..you need room for replacement garage doors. LOL

    Good Luck my friend

I bought the boxes from walmart for 20 bucks a piece. They are SUV boxes. Suposed to go in the back of an SUV. They have a lip on the inside to keep water and other things out. Both boxes also have 2 places for locks. And now that I remembered that...I forgot to pick up 4 pad locks from walmart while I was out and about. As far as holding everything....yea...It`ll do. One box will be for chemiclas, brushes, buckets, etc....all the dirty, hazardous stuff... The other box will hold my PC, pads, MF`s...etc My vac will not fit in there, so it will go inbetween the boxes for now. Just through it in the back of the SUV when I go somewhere and leave my trailer. I will be adding sides soon, so in between the the boxes will be enclosed.

Eventually, I will be getting a big diamond plate Chest for the front of the trailer. It will free up a bit more room, while adding more storage. But in the mean time, I`m trying to not go overboard on spending. :whistling

Thanks for the heads up. I may just use my father-in-laws until I start getting more cash flow from the business. Don`t want to overdue it. But I will eventually have my own. I was eyeing this one on eBay for a bit.

I wa going to use my father-in-laws pressure washer too, to save money, but him and his buddy took it apart and lost some parts. they cannot get it back together. :chair: LOL

Think they used it less than 5 times....ran about 2 grand.......

    Re: My Trailer

Another thing you can look at getting is a water pump. I have the same set up as you have. I used the eye bolts that you have then strapped the tank down. I drilled four holes and secured the pump right behind the tank, and ran a 4 foot hose from the pump to the tank. Then I have a regular water hose coming from the other side of the pump that pulls about as much as pressure as a house faucet. The pump does not need much power to run, so I bought a 700 amp power inverter and that gets me all the water I need. The power inverter is also strong enough to run your PC on. I have a small pressure washer, but don`t always need it. The good thing about doing it this way is I don`t ever need that generator I spent $500.00 on. You will find jobs that a pressure wash is a must, but most of the jobs I do are not dirty enough for me to use mine. Using this system was an easy way for me to get started and didn`t cost that much money. The pump you get from $65 to $200 depending on how much pressure you want. The power inverter was around $75. I have my power inverter wired to my battery and located behind the driver seat of my truck. I only have to take my generator on a job that where I have to run my shop-vac which is to strong for the power inv. For light jobs I just use a small hand held vac. Maybe some of this will be useful.

Ok...so now I need some pump info. To get regular water pressure, like from an exterior faucet, which one will I need. I have no idea about them, so insight would be good.

Well, if it helps, I just searched google and found a couple sources stating that the standard for household water pressure is between 50 and 100 PSI.....

Do a search on water pumps for transfer just make sure it`s self-priming. That way when you let the nozzle go the pump will automatically cut off. I got mine on clearence at Grainger. There are lots of companies that sell them just look around until you see a price thats reasonable.

    Re: My Trailer

May just stick with a PW and let it gravity feed......
Been told that I will drain my tank rather quick with a garden hose vs. a PW

    Re: My Trailer

Gravity feed will work just fine...just make sure you dont let your water level get too low. You`ll burn your pump.

    Re: My Trailer

So I picked up a pressure washer today. :eat:
Went to Big Lots first..I knew they had pressure washers there, but could not remember the price. So I go in, look around...cannot find any..all sold out. :censored: I turned to walk out, and I seen a homeless, little pressure washer looking at me. I walked over to it and noticed something. All the pieces were in a plastic bag......and it was missing the wand. So I wheel it up to the Customer Servive counter, and ask about it. They said some old lady bought it, but it was too heavy, and she returned it. Never used it. I said ok, and wheel it back to where it was, to check it over. I found the wand on the top of af a shelf. No gas was put into the tank. It still had a tiny bit of oil from the factory..like they all do. And the air was out of both tires. So I walk back up and tell them that the lady must have used it. The tires were flat, and there was oil in the engine....LMAO......I wanted to see what they would say. I got it for $200 out the door...LOL Karcher model...5hp Honda motor....2400 PSI

I stopped by Lowes, and they have THE SAME EXACT ONE, just with a different color frame, and different name. SAME MOTOR AND PUMP....$398. So I`d say I got a decent deal. Even if the washer is a Remanufactured one, which it says its new....And they said I can return it anytime if there is a problem.

I picked up a 50ft pressure washer hose rell with the extra money I saved....AND had enought to eat lunch.. :eat: :eat: ...LOL

Now it would stop raining so I can mount it all to the trailer.... :censored:
