    Least favorite car to detail...

Today I detailed an abused 03 black/black Mercedes Benz G55 AMG. It took me about 8 hours to get the car "detailed" to my standard. it is now officially the car I least want to detail !!! Buffing the car was a nightmare !!! Every 6 inches was interupted by either trim, badging, lighting, or other items easily damaged by a rotary buffer !!! I HATE THIS CAR !!!

I still would not "kick her out of my garage for leaking oil" :smile

They are just so darn big, it takes the fun out of it for me. (especially if they are really "kid-trashed"!!!!!)...

But I love doing coupes and sports cars!!!

Re: Least favorite car to detail...

When I used to get paid to detail cars, I had one customer with a Dodge Viper. It was kind of a love/hate relationship. I loved the look of that car. I even got to drive it a couple of times. I hated detailing it. This was the original version which had no windows, but came with a vinyl top with clear plastic flaps. The owner always refused to put the top on whenever I detailed the car. So washing it in a way that would not get water inside the car was tough. Also, the engine and side exhaust would get SO hot. Even after washing the car, those areas were still REALLY hot. So, any polish, wax, or whatever I put on the car would streak like crazy. Of course it was black so everything showed.

i agree 100%. too much paint and carpet, too many cracks and crevices for kiddie crumbs to get into. alot of time is needed, and to me not worth doing.

Kiddie mini vans and large 4x4 pickups....both present you with way to much work for a single person.....and if they are real dark colored its a nightmare
