I really don`t mind the extra work, especially since it means I make more $$. I`m not afraid to make a customer crowbar their wallet wide open if they bring me something in horrible shape!Originally Posted by ShineBoy

I have a problem with VW interiors. The carpet is extremely difficult too clean/vacuum!! I do not care much for the carpet in the Jeep Grand Cherokees either!! :censored:
worse vehicle in the world to detail/wash is Ford 2500 Turbo Disel "BLACK" hate them. Long roof and as you can tell I`m SHORT
Yesterday, detailed a Toyota Tundra 4 door. This thing was such a nightmare. I`m 6`1 and standing in the bed I couldn`t even reach half of the roof. It was just thoroughly aggravating, plus it was white which is never easy to work on either.

I would have to agree with you on this one. I have 2 of these SUV`s on my client list. They take 2x as long to detail as any other vehicle I`ve done. It`s all the plastic trim, bumper guards and light guards that get in my way!Originally Posted by Clean Dean
Speaking of the ******* devil, I started on a 1993 Black Jag XJS thats has never seen te light of car care. Wow, is all I can say! The best part about it is, the owner ws thrilled after 1 pass with ZPC and an orange pad on my PC. I still have to finish it laters this week.Originally Posted by Shiny Lil Detlr

I hate detailing cars that aren`t "loved."
I dont run a business, but I detail cars of friends & family for extra cash.
My stepdad`s GS300 had coffee spills & half-used cough drops (wtf?) stuck all over the interior, dirt & parking lot ground grease all over the carpet & floormats.
The outside had swirls Id expect on a 10 year old car, not a 2 year old one!
When I was done with it, it looked fresh off the showroom floor.
Two weeks later, it looked like it did before I spent a weekend with it. :bawling:

Like palomino said, it`s not really any fun detailing cars that are abused. The end result is nice, but unless you`re working with a friend or something, it`s just not as fun as detailing a nice car.

conversion vans....the job that never ends
I agree abused cars are a nightmare and the details run far too long. I hate doing trashed mini vans, suv`s or anything with a roof rack. I`ve been doing the cars as favors and a few on a side until winter approached, you can bet i`ve done my last mini van..Originally Posted by Matt@Autogeek
My worst had to be a 2002 Durango, the customer (a friend of mine) said it was in bad shape. So I was preparded for the worst, when I saw it finally I thought hey this isn`t that bad. When I opened the door, thats when it hit me. She then informed me oh by the way my kid just threw up in the back seat. Needless to say I had to air it out for a few hours before I could even get next to it. SO for me anyone who says I`ve got kids...
