Overall, it looks fine. However, the lines "Enthusiast grade products", and "finest european botique quality products" really need to be replaced with something. Sounds kind of gimmicky, you are trying to be professional. Also, what is this "new age in auto detailing"? I don`t get it.

I think it looks nice. I agree that some of the terminology looks a little "sale pitchy", but overall you have done a nice job.

    Re: Give me Your Opinion

Nice card! Very clean and professional looking.

    A few observations
    - Agree with above regarding the "gimmicky" sales pitch.
    - I`d lose the "Fully Insured"... Yes it`s a great selling point but why open yourself up for the potential litigation? You know you`re insured and if something happens you can tell your client it will be taken care of no questions asked. I just see a mess when accusations fly and you have no real proof of prior damage to a vehicle.
    - Not a big deal but is the picture of the car one that you detailed?
    - "New age of auto detailing" at first was kind of gimmicky, but on second thought I like it. It will give someone a reason to ask "what is new age about your detailing service"? Then you can pounce and sell your work. Plus the new age is (in my opinion) using new high end products rather than stuff off the shelf, and refining your techniques by using forums to share and learn info from other detailers around the country or world.

    Good luck. Hope this helps.

    Re: Give me Your Opinion

If you are going to use that car then you definitely need to do something other than a white box on the tag. Either photoshop it out or blur it or something other than a box. That doesn`t look professional at all. It looks like you made your business cards yourself instead of having them professionally done and you should really try to avoid that impression even if its true.

From a graphic design standpoint the black text box on the front isn`t the best idea either. There are other ways of making that a little easier on the eye. You have soft colors and smooth angles in the background and on the car and then WHAM! you`ve got this big black box on the side. Again, it just goes to the professional look of the card.

On the back I only have a couple comments. I don`t thing the use of "European Botique" products is necessarily bad, but I would probably drop the term Boutique. That has a different connotation to different people. Around here a Boutique is where we get our porn and sex toys. I`m not trying to be crude, but it`s just because that is the name of the store and everybody knows it. Everytime I see the word I think of perverts or The Fuzz. (he`s gonna have to read a lot before he sees I said that about him) Knowing the real definition of Boutique I still think of products with that term attached to them being products that aren`t good enough to sell in the main stream so they end up getting sold at little hole in the wall locations in crappy malls. Anyway, that is my rant on `boutique`.

I wouldn`t say they are enthusiast grade products either. They are looking for a professional and since you are one then they should know you are using professional grade products. Just because you can`t buy something in gallons or barrels doesn`t mean it isn`t professional grade. Don`t underestimate the quality of what you are using. I do like that it implies that `enthusiasts` (who are usually the most anal about what products they use) have a higher standard for their products, but only an enthusiast would understand that. If that is the point you are trying to make then there are probably other ways you could word it.

The font doesn`t do much for me on the back either. Kinda hard on the eyes. I prefer a nice Verdana or High Tower font on things like that.

Those are just my nitpicks. Overall I really like the layout of the card. The colors on the front are great and that is a great eye catching picture. I like the information that is on the back and how it is laid out. I only suggest a couple graphic tweaks on the front and some verbiage changes on the back and it would be a sweet card. That is much better than any of my efforts ever turned out. Now I just go to VistaPrint.com and have them make cards for me. Very good work on your part though. I look forward to seeing the final product.

That`s kinda what I was hoping for, so I could have them ask why I am different from joe detailer and hopefully get them excited.

Thanks for all your input guys, it may have taken a while but good thing I saw the thread again. I will be making me revisions on top of the other I have already done and will post an update in a few weeks. Thank you all!

    Hey Shaun-

Just a note on your prices...it`s up to you but I think you can get more than $100 for a int, ext, engine detail in this area if you do good work. I imagine something like that takes you 5-6 hours?

5-6 hours? Man, if it takes that long then something is seriously wrong or the vehicle is incredibly large.

    Re: Give me Your Opinion

Thats partly the reason I am ordering new cards, I used to charge $100 and now I am up to par with most shops/maybe a little higher. ($160-$200 per detail for 4-6 hrs.)

I will order by the 9th so check back for an update and thanks all! Happy New Year.

I guess I`m just slow then. Not including underhood, I don`t do any details that take less than 2 hours inside and 3 hours outside.

For the white box, put your company name perhaps.

You guys can do full int. clean, vacuum, shampoo, dressing, door jambs, windows, engine, and wax for 2-3 hours? Wow. I`d have trouble doing that on a clean car in 3 hours.

Man, I guess it depends on what corners you are cutting. I take around the same amount of time, but it`s because I`m entirely too picky for my own good.
