30 vehicle fleet pricing guide

I have to submit a contract to detail 30-38 vehicles for a medical supply and hazardous material ( such as urine tests, blood samples, and other medical related items) shipper. The vehicles are mostly ford aerostar mini-vans (about 29), and 8 ford focus wagons. My mentor suggested that I create a basic menu sheet that describes different services the client can choose from and they just check the ones that they would like.

I would appreciate some feed back on how some of you all have approached a similar deal, and what I should look out for or include in my service list. I am going to include an extra charge for handling medical waste clean up, but I don`t think that I have covered all of my bases yet. I am meeting with the company CEO on the 6th of september.

i think you need to be licensed to handle biohazard waste products...Not not mention one of those bihaz suits. I mean i guess you could do it yourself, but....i wouldnt handle them unless i was properly trained.

I can`t tell from your post exactly. However if you need to do any type of Bio Hazard cleanup you better think twice about just going about this like a normal detail . You can`t just dispose of Bio Hazardous Waste any old way , the EPA would have a field day with you .

You are definitely going to want to look into any kind of license that you need to clean up hazardous waste. Terms like "Infectious Medical Waste" and "Pathalogical Waste" should be enough to worry you. I looked into becoming a crime scene cleanup specialist at one point. It was an idea that came up while obtaining my Criminal Justice degree. I thought it would be challanging work and very interesting. However I decided against it after learning of the true horrors that are involved in cleaning up this kind of thing. You don`t want to mess with it unless you have the proper protection and knowledge. Rollman is right. You can`t just mop it up and throw it in the garbage. You have to dispose of sharps and all medical waste in a special way. If you are caught throwing it in the garbage then you will face federal charges.

Check with your local bureau of public health for information on what kind of training and licenses you need to dispose of this kind of stuff. If you are going to be cleaing up more than just your average biological waste that we all find in the backseats of mini vans and cars then you are going to need to know how to deal with it properly.

I appreciate the responses. I agree, I`ll stay away from the medical waste clean-up. The more I though about it the more complicated it became, and I like to keep it simple.

I think that is the approach I`ll take with developing the fleet service menu. I`ll just include the following:

1) Exterior Wash with tire shine (with or without under carriage wash)
2) Exterior Wash, tire shine & light interior vacuum
3)Detailed Exterior Wash & Detailed Interior Cleaning
4) Extra Charge for Wax, Interior Shampoo & Buffing
