We need to organize a meet for people whom live in OC. Santa Barbara and LA are too far for some of us. Anyone interested, please chime in. :wavey

The best place to meet is at Meguiars in Irvine. Just ask for an Autopia meet on their forum, meguiarsonline.com and they`ll schedule you if you can guarantee 25 people. They teach you how to buff, detail your car and provide free products and pizza.

There are pros and cons to scheduling a get together at Meguiar`s,

    Pros:

    Meguiar`s structured format.

    fun.

    informative.

    great facility.

    terrific hosts.

    free lunch.

    cons:

    Meguiar`s structured format.

the standard program is pretty basic for enthusiast detailers.

some local Autopians have already been through one or more of them and don`t feel the need to repeat the exercise.

limited to Meguiar`s scheduling option (a Saturday morning, 08:00 to 15:00).

Meguiar`s-centric, not a suitable local for a Zaino love fest.

Need to fill class, if only ten Autopians sign up they`ll fill the class with 20 others who are unlikely to share the same specific areas of interest.

I`m always up for a Meguiar`s day but it may be more appropriate meeting at a park, public facility, local eatery or somebody`s home.

Count me in...just make sure the date is far enough in advance....I dont` mind more practice with Meguiar`s products, i`d just like to get some time with a rotary or a cyclo....

FYI: Meguiars has August 27th and September 24th open....

I make it 10 thus far although 2 are sort of on the fence due to the potential date:

    04E320

    buellwinkle

    the other pc

    eric77

    Mike-in-Orange

    FrizzleFry

    Asonyexec

    Sullybob (date dependant)

    RCBuddha

    NYC2SoCal (but 08.27 doesn`t work)

I`m really liking the 27 just because it`s the day before my birthday

Also, I know I get a dozen guys from my PT Cruiser group to sign up.....if the rest of you don`t mind a bunch of quasi retromobiles hanging around!!
