I recently purchased a used Ford Fusion (dark blue) that has some serious swirls and halos from very poor buffing job(s). I`m looking for some reviews and recommendations for detailers in the area. Interior also needs a little attention, but not too bad at all. Looking for mobile detailers.

    Thanks.

Give Joe Fernandez @ Superior Shine a call. Looks like you`re on the very outskirts of his regular service area, but if he can make it out to you he`s definitely the man for the job:

I just emailed him and he quickly replied that I`m too far away.

He sounds like a great guy, but with my work and family requirements, I don`t see that happening. I really need someone that is mobile that can come to me.

    Still open to recommendations.

Well, because of my schedule and the schedule of the detailers that I spoke with, as well as favorable recommendations, I decided to go with David from Innovative Detailing. I met David at about 11am this morning, and he worked on my car tirelessly for the next 5.5 hours. Yes it was a real mess, especially outside (horrible swirls and holograms). David did a superb job in restoring my paint. It looks vastly better than it did before. There are still a few deep scratches, but those likely require body shop work. I`m not worried about them though. David was exceptionally professional. He took measurements of the paint and cc thickness to make sure that he had some room to work with. He took several before and after photos, and I hope that he will post them up. I can`t believe how the color changed on my car. It went from a dark-ish blue to a deep dark blue, almost purple-ish. This is likely how it looked from the factory.

Anyway, I just wanted to give a plug for David`s great work that he did. I would highly recommend him to anyone in his service area. Thanks David!!!

Here are a quick pics that I took with my Droid X. They do not do justice for the car, and the color is off a little too. Again, I hope that David will post up his pics.

    Brad,

Thank you for your great testimonial as stated above, my wife and I appreciate that you gave us the opportunity to take care of your vehicles needs. As you mentioned the vehicle was definitely mishandled and poorly detailed by a previous ??????? I dont know what to call them. It was sad to see how they had left the vehicle, it was completely swirled and hologramed in every direction, up, down and all around....

Here are some of the before photos showing the "Agrobuffer" marks..........and the extensive wax build up left caked on mirrors, trim and mouldings.

It looks like things have changed with photo uploading, photobucket worked fine before....not working, any suggestions?

    Brad,

Thank you very much for your wonderful testimonial of the work my wife and myself performed on your 2006 Ford Fusion.

I must agree with you, you Fusion was a complete mess....from extensive wool pad/rotary induced swirl marks to holograms 360 degrees up, down and around the vehicle. Also present was lots of TOGW, especially on the side view mirrors, trim, and moldings. Thank you again for the recommendation of our work, I appreciate the good words!

I will try to upload photos, but I am having a hard time loading them on here....something that has never happened before. If someone can chime in, I am loading them in my Photobucket account and adding them as an image code as I have in the past. But once I preview or submit all I get is a link, not a pic..................

Detailmaniac and ecocleandetailing are excellent choices as well from that area.

Glad you got your vehicle situated. David does a consistently great job.
