A gallon of milk spilled on the front passenger side carpet floor a couple weeks ago. I`ve done the following on the entire front passenger carpet with the seat moved all the way back:

    - Blot up excess with white towels.

    - Sprinkled baking soda, left overnight, vacuumed.

    - Sprayed dishwash detergent/water - blotted out.

    - Sprayed Borax/water - blotted out.

    - Drenched with Nature`s Miracle - let air dry.

It got a little better, but now the smell is back.

I`ve given up and would like a pro to take over. Work in San Francisco, live in Moraga (East Bay). I would really appreciate anyone with recommendations on where to take my car?!?!

I would check out some detailing places in Walnut Creek. I`d do it, but i don`t have time to work on that at this moment. If not, contact John, (Mr. Ikon) and he might be able to drive down from sac to do it.

Sam. Sour milk sounds fun, wouldn`t you agree? I just hope that in the weeks it took for the smell to come back, it isnt actually a moldy smell.

My best friend`s wife did this exact same thing last week. She called me when I was at my full-time job, I told her to take it to the nearest place that had hot water extractions. It set her back $80 for the entire interior, but they did a very nice job removing it.

What color is the carpet? Believe it or not, coffee grounds take out odor but it doesn`t sound very practical for carpet in car, depending on the color???
