I don`t think I`d be able to make a weekend of anything. What about Charlottesville? It`s sort of between Richmond and Manassas. And it`s a nice drive down tree-lined Rt 29. I wonder if you could use some UVA facility? Crutchfield is also there, though I don`t think they do a lot of car detailing stuff...

    Oh, adg44 is in Herndon.

Can anyone else put in a second for Charlottesville?

No problem about the wkeend deal. Like I said, i was just throwing out some ideas.

    How far is Herndon?

BTW, would you really wanna drive your freshly Autopian-polished car through all of those sappy trees?

Herdon`s right near me, it`s NoVA. I haven`t seen adg44 posting online much lately, but maybe he`s been busy with that red R32 he bought? You might try PM`ing him.

I drove the Aurora up to NJ to check out that Corvette. I`m sure some Bug Guard, QEW, and Last Touch could take care of any issues I encounter on the way.

Yes sir I did. Got pretty bored with the Audi, and got hooked up big time on the R32, so I figured I`d go ahead and do it. It`s all that my old GTI was, and then some. :p

I`d be down for a little GTG, as I don`t think any of us here have actually met each other before.

I`m down for whatever.... I`ll watch this thread for updates.

Thanks for the PM alerting me, Bob.

    3) Tdekany (Thomas)

    4) Aurora40 (?)

    6) tomsting (I dont know if I can find something close enough, but I can try)

    7) Slov98 (?)

    8) adg44 (Anthony)

If I`m able to get a good location/ time for this,it looks like we`ll have a nice sized turn out. I might just get out a map this week and mark off the locals of everyone here, then find something relatively close to everyone.

Now, who here actually knows how to use a rotary?

    Yeah, and that too...!

    Just thought about something:

Should all potentially attending put in a $xx.xx fee to pay for pizza, drinks, etc, or any other products we may need so as not to waste each other`s stuff?

    Twenty bucks?

    Whaddya think?

So, did this thing just fizzle out?

Money for food, sodas, the place is cool. But I`m not sure we need to chip in for communal product. The point is to hang out a bit and learn a bit, right? Maybe wax some hoods, try out some different techniques, etc. Shouldn`t use up very much product. I don`t think anyone should expect to have their entire car detailed by others for free...

Besides, which products would you buy? If you had to get pads, polish, wax, etc, it could be costly. And who`d keep the leftovers?

/\ Good thinking. I noticed that the other day when i re-read the thread for replies.

I haven`t had time yet to look for a time/location to do this. Who`da thunk they`d give a High School Freshman so much work?

Anyone know when the next big holiday weekend type thing is? I guess Christmas time would be the most `time off` form school or work, but what`s after that? I have (I believe) ~2 weeks from a few days before Christmas Eve, to the day or so after New Years. Anyone think something in this time would fit into their calendars?

All of my products are free, but I recommend the use of others for familiarity. I`m a rotary-friendly environment, but I`ve really only experienced success with PG and IG. Anyone with the 1Z line should bring it along. No wetsanding experience here, but great car-hole tunes and adult beverages. Just a quick sell for the Williamsburg location.

If we pull well into the winter months, I`ll still provide coverage with a Vornado heat source. If Glenn Jr.`s mom is reading, we`ll obviously be checking ID`s at the door for said froth dogs

*edit* After December 7th, any time is good for the Snow until January 1 (gone up north chasing the snow).

Haha, God knows I`ll probably be the most smashed anyway. Just don`t ask my mom what happened at my dad`s 40th birthday party .

So something in the winter months seems ok? Anybody here have a second? How`s Williamsburg weather compared to VA Beach?

    Williamsburg good for anyone else?

If I`m not crazy, I believe Mr. Thomas (tdekany) recently picked up a rotary (Makita, I think?) . If you`re reading, I don`t know if you`ve had time to teach yourself yet, but if you have, then one more person to provide input would be awesome.

The only 1Z line I have is the WPS you gave me. I haven`t had a chance to use it yet, but hopefully I`ll be doing that red Accord soon.

I`ve got the 2 SSR`s, some AIO, DACP, then the usual s100 etc. Whatever you may need I can bring.

    Whats a Vornado?

Number One: 27 replies and only 4 poll participates (hahaha).

Number Two: Head down the Boulevard
    What`s a Vornado?
and duck into Bed, Bath, and Beyond and bust out the wallet to experience the difference. WELL worth it. It`s one of those things you experience when you age and find a nice lady who compasses your shopping.

Number Three: Our weather is not much different, but while you receive the coldest rain in recorded history, we`ll have snow.

Number Four: Thomas will play coy, but he`ll be down here in a heartbeat even if just to hear the Snow on the ones and twos (oldest five-disc ever plus a Bose AM-5 in the car-hole).

"the Snow on the ones and twos" .

    Maybe I`m too young?

Vornado, just like a portable heater I assume?
