I recently had my 2001 Saleen `Vert repainted and it has a few runs and some orange peel.

I guess it needs wetsanding? I dunno, and I`m not nearly brave enough to attempt anything because I`m too heavy handed.

If there`s anyone near my area, please shoot me a message if you`d like some work :hifive:

    Here is the thing...

You can take it to a body shop and have them sand and buff it out, and they will likely do an okay job (minus the polishing) for a decent price. You will likely have to re-polish the car yourself, but you can let them assume the risk of sanding/etc... The down side is that it will not be perfect in terms of anything but will be much better. I know shops in Orlando charge between 500 for a full wetsand (low quality) to 1500 (pretty good actually).

Just like removing defects, sanding (properly) can be a very time consuming process, and it can be time consuming to remove all of the sanding scratches. It just takes time to do it correctly and the closer you want to "perfect" the more the time increases exponially.

A body shop is going to save time (and you money) by just sanding the paint then cutting it. It will give the best bang for the bucket, but it might not be the best quality. A high level detailer is going to provide higher quality work and polish the paint to a jewel like shine, but then cost is going to be much higher.

If you really want a show stopping finish I would like to throw my name in for consideration.
