    Question Waxing/Polishing touch up paint

What`s the deal with washing/waxing/polising freshly repaired chips in the cars paint? I have a black car that has a few chips/scratches in the paint. I would like to repair them myself and then go on to detailing it. Should I let the touch up paint cure for a period of time before applying products, or is it good to go once it dries?

I wait a day for it to dry really good but those chips are so small its really not that big a deal.

I would let it dry so your not smearing the touch up paint on other parts of the car. I would go at least 24 hrs, maybe more.
