    Hi all,

I have an Infiniti FX35 that I will be cleaning this weekend. Does anyone know how to clean and protect brushed aluminum trim? Thanks in advance!

qweewq11- I`d clean it with something VERY VERY mild (certainly no harsher than GEPC) and put some straight wax or non-abrasive sealant on it. Treat it like the most fragile paint imaginable.

Just curious... what would the point of using a wax or sealant be? Would it be to protect it from staining or something?

I would try to find out if it`s covered in clearcoat paint or something first. I don`t know if they even do this, but... :nixweiss

cackleberry- Yep, added protection and a good appearance. I wouldn`t want it TOO bright, though (glare/distraction).

4DSC- Yeah, I wondered about that too, hence my "keep it mild" bit.

I agree to use something mild. Wipe it down with only water, then seal it with a good wax/sealant.
