I just read Sal`s response to Greg`s Meguiar`s vs. Zaino test, and I have a few questions for all you enthusiasts.

What are some products that are loaded with "Silicone oil [that] is inexpensive, greasy, smeary, not durable, but shines?"

I know that there is much more to a polish/wax than just shine, but I`ve "tried `em all" and not many cheap product do shine. Turtle Wax sure doesn`t, Meguiar`s QD "loaded with silicones" doesn`t...

Thanks in advance, because I know someone who exactly wants this kind of a product.

Btw, heres the link: http://pages.sbcglobal.net/gheumann/...no_letter.html Oh, and I tried Pledge already.

    Hi Friends

Nice to be back. I was out of town.

    Now, re the test:

It seems to me that there is nothing startling about the test results and it is not surprizing that the tester did not think Zaino appeared that much better than the Meguir`s -- the tester admitted that the Meguir`s was NOT the Meguir`s wax product.

To say there is "nothing special" about Zaino, because it is not necessarily better than other premium products, is misleading. It would be similar to saying that AIO and SG are "nothing special" because the quality of their results is in the same range as Zaino. This is like saying that a Ferrari is not that big a deal because a Lamborgini is roughly just as good!

The correct statement is that there are a handful of superior products, out of a field of hundreds. Those superior products include Klasse, Zaino, and a few others. I do not believe that any of the superior products are light years better than the others. But, they are significantly better than the vast majority of other products. To say that Zaino is "nothing special" is like saying that a middle level member of the US Olympic relay team is "nothing special" because there are three other members of the team who have similar abilities. The statement overlooks the fact that all of these four runners are in the top one thousandth of one percent of the runners in the world.

Proton Exora detail with ONR and other Optimum products.

Just got a shipment of ONR and some samples of other OPT products directly in from the US. Many thanks to Dr. G for his assistance.

I have been using ONR for some time and thought it was fantastic. Couldn`t wait to try out all of the other products. Tried out the Optimum Polish II, Optimum Finish, Opti-Seal, Optimum Car Wax and Optimum Instant Detailer.

Before. As is usual with a white car, lots of baked in dirt and stains in the paint.

    ONR wash.

    50/50.

    Done.

The results from using the other OPT products were fantastic but what really blew me away was how EASY it was to achieve those results.

Comments and feedback are most welcome.
