Hello everyone. I recently bought a new Mercedes GLK. The night I bought the car it snowed. The next day I noticed really hard water spots all over the car. The windows were so bad I had to buy some Duragloss stufff to remove the stubborn window spots. Well, some of the duragloss stuff got onto this shiny ornamental piece that is in between the windows. When I wiped the stuff off of that spot, It got scratched up pretty bad. This stuff is very sensitive to scratches! I think the Duragloss stuff is abrasive.

Does anyoone know a proper technique to remove scratches from this plastic material? A new piece costs $95.

Is this piece just snapped on over the metal? Would it be simpler to replace?

I attached a pic for you to see what I am talking about.

    Thanks in advance!

Maybe some Meg`s Plast-X? If it were me, I`d buy a new one. It will never look better than new.
