The mat did it`s job when one of the bottels in the carton of synthetic oil leaked over night. Not a lot. I tried scrubbing it with some dish soap but there is still a tacky film on the mat.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks in advance.

Try Simple Green or Orange Blaster. Additionally, I would use cat litter prior to cleaning the spill to absorb the oil. Good luck.

I`d start stepping up the solvent ladder.

    WD40

    Bug n` Tar remover

    Brake parts cleaner

Condition the rubber after cleaning, as those solvents strip the rubber.

What are your suggestions for conditioning the rubber? How often should this be done?

    thanks

Once you have it clean, I`d just throw whatever protectant you usually use, 303 or Armor All, whatever, on it.

But, considering its a mat, maybe that`s overkill.
