    Gloves?

There has been some discussion about the use of gloves for cold weather detailing on some other forums.
Just a few pieces of information.

    1. Cabella`s now has SealSkinz gloves on sale for $19.88.
You might want to read the reviews since there has been some difference of opinion on just how well they actually work.

    2. Cabella`s also has Ice Bay neoprene gloves for $16.95 which appears to be the regular price.
Here again, read the reviews. More different opinions.

I don`t happen to use either. Using warm water with DP 4 in 1 and a pair of nitrile gloves or a pair of dishwashing gloves to keep my hands dry works for me.
I bought 100 pairs of the nitrile gloves and use them often when detailing. They are basically a throw away item, but can be used several times.
The dishwashing gloves are heavier duty and will last for many uses. I have probably used one pair for at least a dozen washes.
The nitrile or dishwashing gloves keep your hands dry, but have no real insulating qualities.

I don`t use gloves. I use warm water and go to it.

    Re: Gloves?

I haven`t tried them yet but I have a pair of thin MF gloves I got from AG during a give-away promotion a couple/three years back.

When looking at them I thought they might be nice to use with a pair of the yellow dishwashing gloves for some added insulation/warmth for cold weather washing.

    You should try some.
You might be surprised at how much warmer your hands feel when they are dry.

Thanks but no thanks.Dishwashing gloves provide absolutely no insulation. At least they didn`t 4 to 5 years ago. That is why I use the warm warm.
