Home Depot still has the original bulb recommended by Driver available online, but not in stores.
EcoSmart 18-Watt (90W) Day Light 5000K PAR38 DayLight LED Light Bulb (1-Pack)-ECS 38 CW FL 120 at The Home Depot
Use the Par30, its great and easily replaced my halogens. Heat, energy, and weight reduction is awesome. Do note, the color temperature shows off defects you`d never see under any conventional lighting. Lighting devil.
Also in talks to look at some Par38 lightbulbs with different beam intensities/CRI`s.

I have saved this thread for a later resource as I would love to have lighting like this put into my shop when I start my business. Would like to provide the best service that I can to my customers, and seeing that none of the other shops have these may be it will set me apart. Would be a good investment though.
I believe I remember seeing in Home Depot a new 3K lightbulb "bright white" (par38/30) with similar setups to the 5K "daylight" bulbs. Wondering if there is any big difference, although across the board they seem to run lower lumen amounts. Will be keeping my receipt, the durability of these bulbs is questionable.
Got a part number for that stand? Love my Par30, it is awesome for mobile work.

Be careful with the bulbs at Home Depot as it seems all the new EcoSmart LEDs are multiple diodes. Don`t know how they would work, but suspect they might not show swirls like the single diode bulbs. Lowes has a few 5000K single diode bulbs.
My single bulb set up on a photo light stand like Driver`s is a joy to use--no heat, light weight and just blasts the defects even on my light colored car. Only potential problem is it becomes top heavy when extended all the way up so I just throw a small sand bag over one of the legs for extra stability.
Been getting alot question on it, so here`s how to build it. Hope this helps!
My new mini setup uses par 30`s the par 38`s are too big.

Subbing to review!
For anyone attempting to build this excellent light stand it should be noted that EcoSmart bulbs (carried by Home Depot) are no longer available as single diode LEDs in the store. However, Lowes does carry a line of both PAR 30 and 38 LED floods with a single diode design.
My EcoSmart is doing well, as with my Alzo`s!
