    My old Garage Reno

This is a renovation I did to my garage a couple of years ago. Thought I would share...If it`s choppy please excuse me cause it was done over a couple of weeks. I now have a shop and don`t detail out of here but thought it was a fun post to enjoy....

Started my garage renovation tonight....Spackling the ceiling tonight...And moving $hit out...Will get a ton of crap out tomorrow, trying to open it up as much as I can....Tomorrow I will paint the walls and the electrican comes to run wires...The electrican is a buddy....I am gonna rewire the entire garage...Outlets on one fuse, lights on another, garage door on another, all on an extra sub-panel we have here... Easy peasy.... Still deciding on what lights to utalize..Ideas?
I am torn on flooring I had epoxy on the floor and it lifted so I don`t want to do that again...But the Roll out coin pattern mats aren`t wide enough and will leave 1.5` on either side of the garage....That seems to be the most economical choice too...Maybee I will run Outddor carpet along the outside edges....Thoughts? Somthing around a grand...:nixweiss
    Heres the progress tonight...

Garage is coming along....Heres one last teaser then you have to wait until its finished
:run: And the elctrician said its gonna take 3 more days to finish his wiring...

Ok one more teaser I can`t help myself...Remember those brown cabinets and the chimney to the left of the work bench... Well Before and afters...Making progress...Wish I could go faster but its tedious work...Still have to pull the sink and sand prime and paint behind that...Wanted to get the workbench back in its spot to get it out of the way

So for now...I am done...I am waiting for the electrician to come back and finish up wiring the outles for the ceiling. There are a total of 5 going in....I added a 5th since my last decision... So I can`t spackle and paint the ceiling, well I won`t until everything is done up there...
Remember the befores? Ingore the beer pong and car cover pic...Its just to show HOW BAD it really was before...

On to the garage...I had these extra handles from a sub zero fridge that is in my kitchen so I decided to utalize them. I added one to the front of the work bench, and one to the wall next to where I will be detailing cars....I know the one against the wall looks like a ballet bar But there is a reason for them...

Perfect for spraty bottles while I am working on a car...

    Re: My old Garage Reno

I recently got my business cards made up...And decided to get a matching banner....I thought it came out pretty SICK

Another thing I did was I had a discharged fire extinguisher....I pulled the handle from it and added a pump to its...It is now my pump soap dispenser..Citrus clear...

Throughout you can notice all the little details that were done in the theme of cars and garages....I have some more paiting and some finishing touches to do...and a bunch of other pictures to put up....

    Re: My old Garage Reno

    All rolled out. Flattening...Slowly

I pulled everything out of the garage AGAIN....:angry I still have to get tape for the center seam....I am also trying to figure out what to do at the garage door thresholds.....I was thinking of tapconning down a 2" real diamond plate...Not sure yet though...:2thumbs:

    So befores...

    And now...

I had to pull down my banner that I had in front of the window...

Cause I installed this... 50" Plasma

I finished frosting the windows, and I added 5.1 surround to the garage I also move a picture to the front of my Kegerator and added a dart board, of course I didn`t forget the throw line...And the cups were just purchased...They will be moved

My personal favorite additon to the garage... I have been waiting for this sucker to come in....:2thumbs:

I dunno how I have never posted there. You have the link?

I do have the Guiness tap handle, and the proper 75%Nitrogen/25%CO2 gas tank, but there isn`t Guiness in there right now

What`s the next step? Knock out all the non load bearing walls in the house and add another 4-5 garage doors? I don`t know why you would ever leave that garage!

Great transformation! How long did it take?

Was thinking of getting flooring like that but I was concerned that it would interfere with `my` technique of sitting in a small office chair while I use my buffer and slide along from front to back of the car.

Couple of weeks. I worked on it slowly. My little stool glides fine, its a little bumpy but it works well.

I really like the use of the old fire extinguisher. I also like the urinal. I have a huge basement. I can get 4 cars in it easily and still have plenty of room to do most anything. Having a urinal down there would be a great little addition. I noticed you do not have a pee trap on the urinal, can`t tell about the sink, do you ever have problems with odors coming back up? Overall some great ideas I am going to have to incorporate into my basement.

Looks to be connected about the sinks P-Trap. While not exactly national plumbing code, for a garage it works. Now, the proximity of it by the door could be interesting sometimes.

The trap is located just below the T where I integrated the urinal into. It`s just that I painted the piping black so it`s difficult to see.
