What are you guys using as a sound system in your garage?
I`ve been using my phone and a Jawbone Big Jambox wireless speaker but I`m looking for something w a little more punch.

In the garage I use my Bose Soundlink color, but you may want to check out a sound bar with subwoofer combo. I have a Vizio one, and am quite happy with it, especially considering it was only like $115
I have a Onkyo amp with subwoofer and mounted speakers from the ceiling. It was an old surround sound system before I bought my Bose.
You can usually find old but good surround sound systems on Craig`slist

I picked up a used Onkyo receiver (7x100 watt) and have towers hooked up to it along with another 3 way speaker mounted on the wall across from the towers. I also have a 10" powered sub under the work bench between the towers. Not a bad set up for the garage and most are older speakers I had sitting around. Sorry for the terrible picture

Hand me downs from the house systems from over the years for the most part. Right Now speakers are "Dayton Audio B652-AIR 6-1/2" Bookshelf Speaker Pair with AMT Tweeter", these are only part that I bought just for garage as I wanted to try them after reading a review in my Audio Magazine. Going to add one there sub-woofers this winter when I move my current gaming tv out there currently have an old 720p 32" tv from bedroom out there on top the Fridge (upgrading the gaming tv for Christmas). using my old B&K Reference 20 Preamp with a Rotel 6 Channel amplifier to control and power it. When I move the Bigger tv out there its getting wall mounted and so will the speakers also my get another pair or 2 of the Daytons Audio speakers and use one as center channel and pair as the surrounds. Over next few years the Garage is going from nice to awesome man cave. going to put some type of flooring in coating or tile or stain. Then get some type nice wall mounted cabinets put in.
old Bose Lifestyle system. Real old, but sounds fantastic...speakers mounted, up high.

I used to use headphones but I`ve been loving my Bose Soundlink for mobile detailing. I like being able to move it around with me and not having to wear headphones. If I had a garage I would probably spend way too much money on the sound system

I just bought a Visio soundbar system (5.1 Surround) for $198. It retailed for $300 and I could find deals at ~ $250 but then I stumbled on a $198 price from Amazon. It`s a decent system for what it is and especially at that price. My brother and father have Visio sound bars so I already knew what I was getting into.
For the garage, while BBQ`ing, etc. I have 3 different (relatively cheap) Bluetooth speakers I use. (Bose, TDK and a Toshiba). Usually depends on what I grab but I typically take the Bose. ....the Bose I got for free, the TDK I got on sale and the Toshiba I got at a really good price.

I have a Sony HT-XT1 that I inherited, its a nice sound box, not really a bar. I have it up on a shelf high off the floor out of the way. Works great a bluetooth device from my phone to run Pandora. If I need sound for just me I have Jaybird bluetooth wireless headphones. They run about 5 hours on a single charge and block outside noise very well.
