    Man, what a steep roof!
    Nice looking garage.
I second the "Garage Journal" suggestion.

No Drains just slope to the floor towards the doors, I only rinseless or waterless wash inside.

I always expect 20-30 percent over run that`s normal. My original numbers were on target but this just got crazy. Having to move the septic was the first major over run that was agreed to (even that went over due to hitting a thin line of clay so they had to dig twice as deep and truck in pure sand), next was placement being so close to the neighbors and our shared driveway that I felt we need to add extra windows and the dormer on that side to make it look as similar to our house as we can, then we decided to go cedar impressions vinyl siding with all Azex pvc trim so the out side is 100 percent maintenance free, we are close enough to the shore that we had add a bunch extra to the framing for hurricane zone building code, architect shingles for the roof to match the house.

    Re: Building a new garage

Thankfully I am baby sitting the GC and his sub contractors. They planed on pouring the concrete floor today, had to call and tell the GC last night they need to properly grade inside the garage before pouring the floor. Supposed be a 4" slab and right now if you go around and place a laser level at random spots you get readings from 1" to 3.5". I get it wont be a perfect 4" every where but readings should be closer to 3" to 5" so you avg 4", right now avg is probably around 2 3/4" - 3" at best.

First picture: no that`s not them digging the foundation, that is the new leaching field going in. We had to move our leaching field so we make a good usable space to put the new garage on. This was one of the biggest pains in the whole process, 2.5 acres of land but with hilly terrain and a vernal pool (puddle in the gully out back that has mosquito`s and salamanders in it) we were left with very little usable land. so pay engineers to come up with a plan to move the leaching field and pay a excavator to put in the new one and remove the old one.
Wow that looks awesome! That garage is as big as my house !!!
