    Let ` s see everyone ` s garage

I know that`s kinda what this sub section of the forum is all about, but I just recently found it myself and thought it`d be fun to give it a kick in the pants with a thread for everyone to post a few quick pics of their garage so we can see all kinds of sizes, shapes, and setups in one thread. I`m in the middle of doing a little reorganizing at the moment and finishing up insulating my second garage door, so I`ll snap a few pics of mine when it`s cleaned up later this week.

Looks great. What epoxy did you go with on the floor?

It is a 3 coat system of 100% oil modified epoxy.

Base is custom gray. Lighter than battleship, second coat is same but with medium chip blend, white, black, charcoal, pearl and silver. Top coat is clear Pollyaspartic for uv resistant and to keep floor from yellowing. Floor was ground and etched. All work done by a professional company. Also had shark grip sprinkled in the clear coat. It kills the shine a little but without it it would be deadly when wet. If I did it again, I would add more shark grip.

I did the previous floor myself but I was nothing like this.

My guy spread it with a squeegee and then back rolled it to get all the air out. He did it in 4 sections (it a 2 car garage) After squeegeeing (notched squeegee) it out, it sat for a few minutes, then he back rolled it and lastly broadcast the shark grip. Repeated for the balance 25% each time. The whole process went so much faster than it did when I did the work myself the first time many years ago. I used water borne urethane and it is not a thick and durable as the 100% epoxy.

So far I am very happy, If I did it again, I would do the same thing just add slight more grip.

The grip kills the shine a bit, but when walking in with snow on my boots, it can be slippery.

JSMF35X- Ah, I was wondering about a friction media, glad to hear you did the Sharkgrip. Did the pro give you any kind of warranty?

I was about 95% happy with the job. They spilled a small amount of epoxy on my pavers and it is still not 100% off. I also have a few bubbles that I popped. He came back and fixed the areas, but my eye can find them. I think it can happen to anyone, and I have heard horror stories. In the end, 95% is pretty good in my book and evernone thinks it looks great. its been down about a year and a half.

I got a 5 year warranty against peeling, de lamination. Only things not covered are abuse and caustic chemicals.

I didn`t know Mt Horeb had a car museum! When is it open, what are your hours

So much to look at, reminds me of being in Toys R Us as a 7 year old. I would never need to leave the garage. Only thing missing is a bed. Wait, scratch that, couch will do

OK, sounds good. Sometimes it`s best to pay a pro to do such work.
