That looks great. I really like the red and black checkerboard flooring. Is that Racedeck?
That looks awesome
Beautiful garage Pat!
Practice doesnt make perfect, the dedication to achieve perfection makes perfect. "Smack" (aka Mike)
My guy spread it with a squeegee and then back rolled it to get all the air out. He did it in 4 sections (it a 2 car garage) After squeegeeing (notched squeegee) it out, it sat for a few minutes, then he back rolled it and lastly broadcast the shark grip. Repeated for the balance 25% each time. The whole process went so much faster than it did when I did the work myself the first time many years ago. I used water borne urethane and it is not a thick and durable as the 100% epoxy.
So far I am very happy, If I did it again, I would do the same thing just add slight more grip.
The grip kills the shine a bit, but when walking in with snow on my boots, it can be slippery.
I had never heard of polyaspartic so I was reading about it and I thought it said it had to be spray-applied, oh well.
From what I recall the pollyaspartic is just a clear urethane that is UV protective to keep the epoxy from yellowing. The floor, unlike my waterbore previous floor was rather dull looking compared to this one. It was also less slippery. Had it not been fo rthe hurricane and the ensuing flood and the fact the garage was turned into a construction zone for months, the old floor would still be very presentable.
The best place to get info on epoxy floors and ask all your questions is on the Garagejournal.com
That is where I got a lot of info on fixing my home. Its the Autopia for Homecare LOL
Thanks, I had found a local guy a couple of years ago but he told me up front his top coat would yellow from the sun. I found a listing of a few companies that make polyaspartic coatings, I`ll see what they give me for local contractors.
