    That plus, power ratings/efficiency.

I will speculate that it`s not 700 watts. If it produces 700 watts, it probably isn`t as efficient as the rupes. The difference is the rupes saves you money on the electric bill and probably runs smoother.

This power rating reminds me of LED torches; there are tons of companies that say 3000 lumens when in fact they are under driven with crappy diodes and put out a ton less. It`s a very well known thing in the LED world that "Chinese lumens" are about 2/3 of actually advertised, were as the real deal companies put out lower but accurate numbers.

I`m not sure as I don`t own either one! I was just pointing out there is another option that is less expensive.

I was just reporting what is posted on the Opti-coat store website for specs. I have watched a few youtube video`s of the Zentool 12EM mini and it seems to me to be a quality piece. The rag company has a video of them using it, with a gentlemen from Optimum.

I`d get the Rupes Mini. That and the Nano are about the only polishers on the market that I might add to my accumulation.

I was thinking of ordering the EnS version of that; the only downside is you need a 220/240 volt connection. I have a step up/down converter so that I can run foreign machines like this. It`s a small investment around 70-90$ but honestly well worth it if you have more than one machine from outside the US.

I personally think it`s a great investment if you like foreign tools, the ergonomics are 10x better than what we have here stateside.

I have this incredible piece of kit and far stronger than my 12v Bosch + it`s a 2 in 1.

Ha! I hadn`t thought of that.

Nuggets like that are why I`m an internet forum junkie.

    Thank you, sir.

Mary, I wouldn`t order a big thing like a polisher until closer to or after SEMA (November 1–4), just in case something new comes along.

Re: To MINI or not to MINI ?? Or should I Flex

I vote with The Driver ---

Any rotary that soft-starts from 600 and goes to 3500, is totally smooth, does not "throw" itself into anything, can be easily modified with a simple spacer to allow it to work in really small places AND give you a great view of your work, is what I would get ...
But then, I still wear a Rotary Power Shirt..

Your PE8 is nice but it starts at 1300rpm.. I hardly ever need to use that high a speed... And that`s another reason why I never have any compound sling to clean up..

I have a PE14-2-150 purchased when they first came out.. Its a nice smaller machine for sure... It has a lot of gear noise that I didn`t particularly like hearing..
Since it IS so small and light, I hardly ever use it anyway..

I want a big heavy 10lb machine to help me put more appropriate-for-the-paintwork-pressure down to correct quickly and completely..
Good luck with your research !
