Help me decide 15 or 21 MKII????????
I have a 14 grand cherokee SRT which has many smaller areas and really no large wide open areas. I also have a 76 camaro street rod/race car and it has larger open areas. Would you choose the 15 or 21 MKII? How well does the 21 work with the 15 backplate? Does it cause vibrations with the smaller backplate?

I have the 15 mark II and I think for what you have it will suit your needs. I would probably toss in a Rupes mini as well.
Re: Help me decide 15 or 21 MKII????????
I think the 15 just gives you more options - use in more places.
As an aside, I am more familiar with 70`s camaros and think the current ones really are not that good looking compared to the older ones.

I would vote for the 15 as well. Much more versatile and a pleasure to use.

The 15. It`s smaller which enables you to reach more places. I don`t recommend the 21 with a 5 inch backing plate just because it was not designed that way and all of Rupes tools work better when used as designed.
Re: Help me decide 15 or 21 MKII????????
I agree.
I got a mk2 21 on open box. Glad i still have my duetto because I still use it more
The 21 is a beast, but generally too large for normal use considering it has a 7 inch pad that throws 21mm
I wouldn`t feel comfortable putting a 5inch bp on it personally. But I still love using it on roofs and hoods and doors, covers some ground quickly.
I`d go with the 15 if I were you.

21mm
more coverage, the areas the 21mm wont fit the 15 wont either, so get a mini for those areas
i just did a 79 camaro with a my G21 with 6.5 pads

15. It is what I own. At times the 15 is too big.

21 with a 5" BP. I have a 15 MK II and 21es legacy with a 5" BP. I enjoy using the 21 more than the 15.
