I`ve used it once since I had it repaired after the second failure and it made it. It still has it`s uses but it`s not my prime polisher. I was turned away by it`s failure that once I went with the Rupes I won`t go back. The Rupes blows it out of the water. The MT300 is a good learning tool for my bro when he comes over to assist.
Re: Which Rupes do you have?
Well since you asked.... :)
I have the original Mark II prototype (build date 02/15)
...2 additional Mark II prototypes
3 21ES models
2 15ES models
2 21 MkII
1 15 MKII
2 Minis
2 LHR-75 pneumatic minis
1 TA-50
1 LD-30
9 various Skorpio II sanders
Nano iBrid prototype number 4
Nano iBrid longneck number 1
Nano iBrid shortneck number 1
a number of prototype tools that I cannot name (5 to be exact)
about 300 pads of various sizes and colors, including prototypes
30 or so liters of compounds and 30 or so 250ml compounds
tons of prototype and production chemicals
and some really cool stuff headed for SEMA, or so I`m told.
In otherwords, I cannot pick just one :/
Re: Which Rupes do you have?
Todd,
Do you still reach for the legacy tools when you have the MKII available?

Granted you work for Rupes, that is still a mighty fine assortment of tools. Rupes should bring a battery operated, full size, long throw DA to the market.

Re: Which Rupes do you have?
I have a list of machines...
I recently picked up a 15 MKII (From Todd at Detail Fest 2016)
I did a car the other day and preferred the MKI 21 with a 5" BP and the KB washer mod.
I personally felt it performed better than the MKII - but hey that`s me.
Maybe it`s what your used to.

Id like to try that one. I was planning on getting one but the Rupes seem nicer.

@Merlin oh good god wow, no. Had a 3401 and while it`s a great machine I don`t miss it in the least.
