About a month (May 7th) ago I posted a picture on a Rupes Bigfoot Facebook wall in regards to a messed up 3" backing plate.



As you can see in the photo, it is warping on one side. Not sure how/why it began to do this, but it progressively was getting worse over time. At one point it got so bad that it even slung a 3" MF Rupes pad about 12 feet right in front of a customer. It was a little embarrassing, but I shook it off and went back to work.

A day or so later I was contacted by a Francesco about the problem with the backing plate. Didn`t think much about it really and about a month goes by and I receive this all the way from Italy.



A replacement backing plate, coarse MF pads, and medium MF pads. It is really awesome to see a company that cares about its products and consumers. Thank you Rupes!

Always a good idea to keep a spare backing plate on hand. Did they send you two?

I am trying to find out if the Kamikaze backing plate Troy is talking about will fit the 3". It is meant to fit the Duetto, but it`s aluminum and thinner.
