I have a Mustang here that the customer wants to know if I can do anything with the steering wheel. He says its Stainless Steal. I"m not sure. It has little rust specks on it. What would be the best thing to use on it?

LOL...stainless steel...I presume you are talking about the original wheel...that would be chrome plated steel, so just use whatever metal polish you would use on other chrome. There weren`t a lot of consumer products (other than cookware/flatware etc.) that were stainless in `66. Of course, if it`s not original, it could be stainless, but not likely if it has rust specks. Having said that, depending on the grade of stainless...it could pit/rust if say it got road salt on it, etc. But I give it about zero chance of being factory stainless back then.

I didn`t think it was. It didn`t look right to me. He says it is the original wheel. Thanks

For the older cars with chrome on the interior I use 0000 Steel wool.

Caution Do Not use this on any thine that is a plastic type of chrome.
