I"ve been asked to buff an old duster thats been repainted, but doesn`t look like it has a clear coat base, and the owner doesn`t know if for sure if it was done. there is a racing strip also painted on the trunk lid which was never sanded, looks like it was masked off painted let to dry peel off the tape. It`s been two years and he hasn`t done anything to the car except drive it around town and take thru a car wash. Not sure about doing this car as I would say it needs to be wet sanded , (Which I`ve never done) and I don`t want to screw up the paint. I`ve told him to contact the person that painted the car and find out what type of paint work was done to the car. Any tips

If you are that unsure of it, is the liability worth the couple dollars that you will make off of it?? I would say to thank him for considering you, but you cant presently take on that type of job.
