I have a potential customer who is wanting his 3/4 Ton truck brought back to "as near showroom condition as possible." It`s a `93 model, and the actual condition of the truck has yet to be seen.

I think I`ve been more than fair on my pricing in general, but I really don`t know what to charge for a job like this (big truck).

I am roughly estimating 10 hrs. for the job.

I know this will vary a little by skill level and location, but what would you guys charge for a job like this?

    $250 - $300 :guess:

im guessing even if it has been taken care of a 93 truck will be in pretty poor shape and sounds like he wants a mini restoration

That`s exactly the range I was thinking, but I`m usually a bit lower than what I`ve seen/heard.

I think I`ll get to look at it next week. He said it has about 220k miles, so it could possibly be a wreck

I guess that will be the best determinant.

I would tell him you "estimate" it to be $250 or so and then leave yourself room to charge more if it takes you extra time.
