In order to help me with pricing my services, I was wandering if you guys can tell me how much of each product you consume for every full service detail (maybe by percentages). Those products might include polishes, waxes, car shampoo, sealant, pads, claybars, etc...

Less than 10% of the price of a full detail usually goes towards the cost of the detailing products used. For example; a $200 detail will usually require less than $20 worth of detailing products.

As Frank says, the amount of product used is pretty minimal. I haven`t sorted my pricing strategy out yet but to be honest they`re mainly going to be based on time.

It`s also not easy to state how much prodct is used because one job may require 1oz of product X, but 2oz if you usedproduct Y instead.

I`m just getting started and have been kind of in the mood to spend about 1/3 of the cost of my details on new products. Needless to say pretty soon I`ll have several choices of products for anything I need, and will be down around the 10% number

I mark 10% on every customers bill. This is an easy way to keep track of expenses. This is generally built into the price quote.
