[ADD] Any word on how much it costs for a hotel parking garage overnight? My parents are afraid of me paying $125+ for a hotel room and then $50+ for the night to find a secure place for my car.

Who wants to bunk? Who already has a hotel room and who is planning on making a reservation?

I`m starting to get worried about the planning (unless I missed a post or two here). We`re a little more than a week away from this thing and we don`t have much more than a date and a general location (S.I.) I`m going to be driving almost 5 hours and I don`t want to get there and have to turn around

You won`t have to turn around, the parking at the hotel is outdoors and should be free.

The location will be not to far from the hotel, i am still going back and forth between the 2 locations.

I understand what you guys mean by being busy, am going to school at night and the phone won`t stop ringing. Its a good thing though. I am going to be able to go only Saturday at this point because I have the rest of the weekend booked including Thursday and Friday. So where should we (long Islanders) all gather if possible? I have no clue to be honest with you.

There is a park and ride off the LIE between I believe exit 50 and 48 off the westbound service road.

Ok I am pretty sure as blackrex said we can use the westbound Park and Ride inbetween exits 48-50. Its by the Vytra building if I am picturing this correctly. When we get the info as to time and exact meeting place I guess we can make a final decision. I will also post my phone number if anyone needs to get more info 516-655-2301.
