I just got my new DeWalt heavy duty DA random orbtal buffer. Its the bomb. I will post some pics of the first car I detailed using it. A 1971 280SL. It came out awesome!!!! This is my forth buffer and it will be high on my to use list. Its heavier than the DAPC, and it doesn`t bog down when applying pressure. I will post some pics later tonight after I download them. Can you use the same backing plates with the Dewalt that we use with the PC?

I use that one at work (we also have a PC). I prefer the PC though. The PC is smoother and quieter.

The PC does not do serious paint correction though, that is why the new DeWalt is essential to own. Gary

The diameter on the Dewalt is the same as on the PC, however I have not tried to interchange them.

Yeah, but I think the point is that the Dewalt can do some serious correction but is still a DA and not as risky as a rotary.
