Quote: Strip the wax off your car as it`s the wax, no matter what quality, that will gray or dull your car.
~One manâ€â„¢s opinion / observations~
Wax is usually transparent thatâ€â„¢s why its used as it will reflect (no pun intended) the shine thatâ€â„¢s underneath it. This shine comes from the oils that are in most polishes. Paint consists mainly of oil and they need to be replaced otherwise the paint will dry out (oxidize)
The â€Ëœhalf-truthâ€â„¢ used here is that road oil and grime could become imbedded in wax and if not removed periodically it gets more wax applied over it and turns the paint surface â€Ëœgrayâ€â„¢.
303 Space Protectant used to provide UVR protection is probably the #1 product out there.
IMO using it to replace wax is only Marketing Hype = Scientific Fiction(usually 10% or less science)
~Hope this helps~

O.K., I read this post this morning and kind of dismissed the whole idea.
This afternoon, I am trying out some new products with the rotary on a loaner truck (2004 dark met. blue Chev.) that I am driving right now. Then I remembered this post.
Its a loner, why not? I apply as per the directions on the web site, and buff using an LC white pad at about 1500 rpm. All I can say is wow. Depth, gloss and wet.
Can`t say about the durablity, as I am taking the truck back this afternoon.
I might try a test panel on my truck to check how it holds up.
If it lasts anywhere near the 6 mos. they claim, this could be neat.
I`m having trouble finding a mention of it as use as a sealant
Here`s the detailing stuff I see:

OK, got it now
It appears that the links within the link above are down but
this link here: http://www.303products.com/main.php?...tect#DETAILING
is the one referred to right?

That`s the one. It sounds interesting. I don`t have any 303 right now. I am planning on doing a sealant test on all the sealants that i have right now, via the Guru Reports method , with maybe a few changes. I will try to include the 303. I do have a few of the 1 year, 3 year and 5 year sealants, that i have came across in the last year or two. Zaino -Klasse -Crystal Guard EX(soon i hope) -QMI-NXT -Nanowax -Ins. III -Rainbow(15 years old) -Protect -3m poly -Fire glaze -Glare ?i might be forgetting some. I`ll start a post when this begins.
Question is if this works satisfactorily, does the 303 only provide UV protection? It sounds like 303 might be interesting as something underneath the final sealant but then there`s the issue of whether or not which if any sealant can bond to the 303 treated paint.
Treat it like it`s the only one in the world.
