This is a repost of something I put in the detailing section but I think it may be better suited to this category.

I`ve seen some posts on here about people using AIO or VM to get out swirl marks and things like that because of it`s cleaning ability. Does anyone use these as their main polish rather then something like DACP which is what I currently use. I know the price for either one would be about 3x as much as DACP but I have found that polish is not that big of a cost.

Also, how would the swirl removal of DACP compare to AIO or VM? I did hear quaman say that AIO got out swirls that DACP could not.

Vanilla Moose is the only of those two products with actual abrasives in it. It cannot accomplish the same thing as DACP without lots of time, and even then it may not. Quamen seems to have different experiences than most.

I think you are comparing a swirl remover to polish. AIO is a chemical cleaner and VM is more of a glaze with some cleaning properties.

If you want a true polish try Menzerna Fp2 (micro polish). No fillers, completely removes swirls.

AIO will not remove swirls as it isn`t designed that way. Vanilla Moose has very minor polishing properties and is a glaze, so it pretty much fills in the swirls.

If you want to remove them, I would go with a dedicated product line Poorboy`s SSR line or #M`s swirl removers, Meguiar`s #9, etc.

I have been using a polish, DACP, and then topping it with AIO and then a Wax. What I`m wondering is if AIO or VM would have enough cleaning ability to do what DACP does, or at least something very close to it. I`ve seen pictures on here of someone thinking that they filled swirls with VM but it turned out that he removed them completely. If I could polish with AIO rather then DACP then I could remove a step and would not have to compromise the quality of my service.

The swirls would have to be very fine to be removed by either AIO or VM. I know VM will take care of hazing though. Maybe you could use DACP then VM and whatever you want on top. That wouldn`t be a compromise of service at all!

No - it`s time to do some searching.
