I live in Pa, but Im very close to the border or NJ. There are some very very high end cars in that state, and wouldnt mind making a market just over the border.

I was wondering if anyone has a good way of pricing for on a brochure for 2 seperate states. I was just thinking in small lettering, but bold NJ reisdents add this much.

The one reason im saying this is because i have learned and read on these boards, if you low ball your prices usually get people with junkers etc. Plus the travel is a little more, but the NJ residents have much more money and the local shops would be higher than my Pa prices.

    Thanks

I would think about having two seperate brochures with differnet prices. One for NJ and one for PA. Basically you are going after what you think are two different priced markets. There is nothing wrong with trying to get the price that you think people will be willing to pay. I live in NJ so I know what you are talking about.

    Just my thoughts...

    Totally.

If you have one brochure listing two different prices...one for PA, and one for NJ, this may deter some potential clients in NJ even though they may have the money to pay for it. I agree with Frank that you should create two different brochures for each state.

    Good idea by the way.:xyxthumbs

How about diff. prices for short and tall people? I hear tall people make more money. Make up ones for white and "others" I here white people on avg. make more money than "others"-blacks,latinos etc....

Do you see where I am going with this?

Target a market and go for it. Have one price and superior service and get known for it.

    quamen,

You may want to take a close look at this thread, if you haven`t already done so. Some very good discussion about becoming target market driven..

My biggest concern would be collecting state sales tax. Unless they pay you in cash you have to collect the slice for "DA MAN"! I`m not sure how that would work....you might have to have a business license to collect the sales tax in both states??:nixweiss

State Sales Tax should only be collected from the customers who live in the state where your business is located. You would not collect sales tax from another state.
