    Hi guys

What do you do to keep working on rainy days. Im starting my business, this is my first month and here has been raining every day, so I m having problems bringing customers, What I did this week was to offer a 50% discount these days and I had a couple of customers.

The customer doesnt want to expend on a car if it is going to rain

Have you tried to get interior only details? Like carpet shampooing, rug shampooing, Scotchguarding, that kind of thing?

How about engine shampoo. That kind of stuff should make no difference whether it`s raining or not.

Not much you can do other than offer a rainy day discount or a free rewash once the rain stops.

I`m considering learning to do the windshield repair and possibly PDR (paintless dent repair). Windshield repair is relatively inexpensive to get into, but PDR is $2000 and up for proper training and tools and it can take a good 6 months to a year to get good enough to start making money at it.

I restore old leather and charge quite highly for it. It gets me through many a wet day which would otherwise be very unprofitable.

you should do what i do.....SLEEP!!!!!!!

sometimes i wish for rain. I get so busy and so tired I need something to force me to take a day off.

I offer PDR & Interior repairs as well, but on rainy days being a mobile detailer you are basically shut down.

I have gone to bodyshops to do some detailing, but i usually like to sleep all day long.

Brian-this time of year, I do the same thing on rainy days...sleep! In the winter though, when it has rained 5 days straight....

Its nice to have enough money save to make it through those rainy days to pay the bills. Sometimes I can get dealership work on those rainy days, they don`t seem to care to much if the cars gets rain on.
