It took me 3 1/2 hrs just to wash and wax one. I like little cars and sedans.

I spent 8 hours on a Suburban once. It was black and had all kinds of problems. I was using it as a test bed for a number of different products. I only wish I had charged him for it. I needed a messed up black vehicle to do my testing on and he raised his hand first. Sometimes they are easier than cars though. The surfaces are so huge that its not hard to work on. Not like an itty bitty car that has all kinds of curves and corners. The real pain on those is the hood and roof. I hate that part.

Now you guys know why I always say that detailing my truck takes 10-12 hours to complete!!! They are huge!!! I have to do the boat, the canopy, and the truck! Then add in the wheel wells etc... and you have one very long day!! Trust me, my truck is 20.2 ` FEET LONG!!!:scared

But I would not trade it for the world!!!:xyxthumbs

NYD, great job!! But, who is the funny looking guy in the pictures??

Pics look good. Especially the reflections!

It tooke me 7.5 hours on an Expedition last year - This thing was an absolute mess when I got it...so it needed a lot of work.

    Good Job!:up

Looks great Brian! I have to wash one of those every single week (waxed it this past week, in fact!), so I know how much work they are. Terrific reflections by the way.

I had a Buick Park Avenue to wash and wax and detailed a Dodge Caravan today. Buick was a piece of cake, but the Caravan needed some work on the inside. Not real bad, but that still is a lot of interior to clean. Removing the seats sure helps though.

I don`t know if you`ve tried this, but Vanilla Moose works great on the nasty crap Ford passes off as trim at the base of the side windows. I hate that trim. It always fades. Ford will replace it one time. Same for the steering wheel, which turns black very quickly.

    Great work.

I have red Expe coming up soon. I think it probably will take about 6-7 hours.

I had a high top full sized Ford van (handicap conversion) to wash and wax today. Even just doing a 1 step with Final Polish (the paint is in outstanding condition), it still took a good 2.5 hours to QEW wash, one step by hand with Final Polish, clean the windows and dress the tires. Doing a 3 step if the paint needed it would easily have added an hour and a half, and that is without touching the inside other than a vacuum and interior windows.
