I went to home depot today to go and get one. Would you believe they do not have it. I need to get one soon. any one have any links they can give me to get one at a good price. I saw some on the internet for over 300.00, if i pay 300.00 for is, it better detail the car for me.

I have seen it around for 190, but forgot where i saw it.

    thanks

hrmmm... Coastal tools use to carry it for around $190 but I don`t see it on their webpage. It looks like they still sells dewalt stuff though. Try sending them and email and see if they have it.

I am in the market to buy a new buffer. I used to have a PC. What exactly are the advantages and disadvantages of the Larger "professional" buffers over the consumer models?

What are some other good professional buffers out there? Skil, black and decker, etc?

$179.99 is the best price you will find on a DeWalt 849, trust me I looked.

    Advantages: Better faster results

Dis": Take awhile to learn how to use (trust me. I know
Can burn through paint and cause clearcoat failure.

Makita 9227C is another one. I`ve got it and love everything about it cept the loop handle. I`m getting use to it though...

What type of pads do you use with the Dewalt buffer? It seems that it uses a lrger 7 or 8 inch pad.

I used 8 inch 3M foam waffle pads, and have a few 8 inch wool pads.

NY detailer didn`t buy the Dewalt, instead he bought another Makita. Got it at a good price, $190 and it`ll be picked up Monday.

The Makita with the loop handle?

Ghaa tell me if he has some other handle or something he puts on it. That loop handle sucks. Otherwise it`s a great buffer
