    detailer in the KC Metro

Hey folks, (mods call me out if I`m in the wrong here)

I`m looking for a pro shop in the KC metro area. Frankly I`d rather go with people on this forum rather than local word-of-mouth, I find that most I`ve talked to before really don`t understand the amount of work that goes into this industry; but, if you`re on Autopia you probably do. I`m a hobby enthusiast at best and don`t have the time or skill level to help Dad out on his cars. The paint shop that we previously used moved out to Utah (though I don`t necessarily know if they did anything beyond paint work).

Here`s the quick story: We finally got a garage built at his house (about 20 years after I wanted to see it done). His cars previously stayed at the end of a DIRTY construction shop. They`re in their new home now but need a good once over: assuming clay, polish, sealant (not sure if that can/does work in conjunction with a ceramic coating). The current environment is much cleaner now, and they`ll see general short weekend cruise work.

Cars: Cobra replica. New paint about two years ago, never got sealed. Sat covered in dust until this Spring. Dad`s idea of cleaning was using a california duster first then washing off. Other car, `52 MG, new paint (color change) about 1.5 years ago. Same story.

Well, I don`t know which KC (MO or KS) you are in, but Lashing Stanley is in one of them:

Dan or Setec, if you have his professional info (shop phone or email), could you PM me? I sent him a PM but who knows if he even keeps an eye on those. I`m not in a real rush, but would like to get the cars dressed up as we`re into driving weather now.

He`s usually pretty good about PM`s. I honestly don`t know his professional info, he seems to have a word-of-mouth business with car collectors.
