    Advertising and new client rate

Hey Guys, just wondering if anybody has experience with advertising and what to expect from it. For example, say you sent 1000 flyers into a particular neighbourhood, what percentage of those flyers sent turned into actual clients. Also, were these clients monthly, quarterly, or annual clients. I know everyone will have different experience with this depending on climate, where they are located, etc. but I just wanted to get some general feedback from guys who have advertised before.

    THANKS!

Most people do not like solicitation ... and most people will probably tell you that you will get little to no replies ... I found in the past that when I was looking for more work going to local Auto parts stores and working a deal with a manager to keep it near a register or go to car shows or cruise nights where people actually care about their vehicles .. I found some of my best customers at car shows and got to work on some pretty cool cars that way too ... you can also try some local car clubs , as some members get older they need someone to maintain their ride ..good luck
life is short ..do it while you can

I decided that rather than put paper on the door or under a windshield, (both of these methods I hate to receive), it would be better to put advertising on the side of my car..

Not something that looks "temporary" like a stick on magnetic sign, but instead a really nice beautifully colored vinyl that was almost the same as my business card.. The vinyl they used is easily as good or better than the expensive Venture Shield Clear Bra that is on this same vehicle...

Once I get a nice sunny day out there I will take a picture and you can see what I`m talking about..
Good luck with your research !

The thing with flyers or even mailings which work better is it takes 3 times for someone to see your ad for it to sink in.

The customer acquisition is about 1- .05%

So you`re saying 1 client for every 1000 flyers.

After they see it 3 times, so after 3 mailings you increase to 1%, maybe 1.5% but I doubt it.

It really depends on the offer, how well done it is ect. Poorly done flyers with no offer wont get .025%

Invest all your money into a professional website. They are under 5k for a fully seo functional website.

Wow, under $5k?! Um, I`ve been at the for a couple years now and haven`t even spent $500. Website design and SEO aren`t nearly as difficult as you might think. Especially with places like Wix where you choose a design and just fill it in. They even have tutorials and will check your page for SEO and will tell you how to make it as good as possible.

i never bothered with fliers. Waste of time and money if you ask me. I have lost a potential client or two to groupon deals. Everyone`s always looking for a good deal, maybe instead of spending money on fliers, put something up on groupon. That`s getting awfully popular.
