I`ve seen some of you guys offer a wash service only. No waxing.

Does anyone offer a sort of "cheap customer" package that would be something like this (without going too far on sap/tar removal/pretreat)?:

    -Clean wheel faces only

-Two bucket with wash n` wax (meg`s, mothers, or 3d)

    -Clean windows

Basically something that takes an hour or less and competes with the car washers at a much higher quality.

I offer a basic package for $40-60 (wash, clean wheels, quick vac, quick wipedown, etc.) I`ve been offering it for about a year now and almost nobody goes for it.

Interesting. I figured those who are cheap but still want a cleaner car would be targets for that.

I offer limited wash packages (I`m a detailer, not a car washer) to people with at least 2 vehicles that I`ve already detailed and within 7-8 miles one way from where I live. ONR Wash and Wax, vacuum, tires/fenderwells, interior wipe-down and glass in and out. Starts at $75 for two small to medium sized cars.

No. Used to offer washes and it was not worth it. If someone wants a wash it will be $75 for just the outside. I spend about a hour and fifteen minutes to wash and dry.

    Same for me as JC.

I used to have clients about 45 min away, 6 of them all within 3 miles of each other and I would make a loop...freeway exit - client one - client two - client 3 - freeway entrance home. Thats 1.5-2 hours of driving for 6 car washes and $180 bucks...making it a 9 hour day....I charge 175 for a wash/wax/interior clean up done in 2.5 hours...where`s the real money at?

No. I stopped offering washes. It is not worth loading up my gear just to do a $35 wash. $119 is now my minimum price.

I do washes at a 2 vehicle minimum, but usually end up with 4, so about 240+ tips a day with minimal invested in products. Best money made is wash & waxes imo

Just curious as to what a quick vac is.

OP I have a basic Full Service package that takes me an hour to do. By the time I get the customers keys (office) start up, wash, vac, wipe down dash, console, doors, clean windows, tire shine, customer reviews, paid and packed and I still think it`s not quick enough. I charge with tax $30/$35/$40 depending on size of vehicle.

$50-60/hr needs to be the target price range, otherwise for manual labor you are shorting yourself..IMO of course. washing is not an easy way to get there

my wash on an M3 is about 50 min...with ONR...60 with a hose

If I was mobile I would have a minimum call out fee, but having a shop location I love the express details (1-2 hour jobs). They are a nice way to fill the day and gain new maintenance wash customers. If you have employees working for you, these quick wash/vac packages are great because they need very little supervision.

Most of us watch YouTube music videos for pleasure. We enjoy seeing others do the things that we would like to do. But not too many of us watch videos with one specific goal in mind.
