In the new age of social media where it is advised we should proactively respond to any posted commentary about your company on line... what would you suggest a blurb about us with a resume..

While going thru Opti-guard / Opti-coat detailers in Richmond? - Scion FR-S Forum | Subaru BRZ Forum | Toyota 86 GT 86 Forum | AS1 Forum - FT86CLUB yesterday I saw the following posting.. it was a discussion on the application of optiseal and one of the members made the following comment. While I have no issues with their choice of a service provider I am somewhat miffed that a person could just drive by and determine we were not he place to do it...

Thanks! I`ll check that guy out. My BRZ arrives in two weeks and I`ve decided not to let my dealer wash/wax it. TLC auto looks like the perfect place to get my car initially detailed and opti-coated.

I`ve driven past that CarPool plenty of times; I figured they could do it but it just doesn`t seem like the place you would want to get it done. To me at least... l

No offense, but if people are making that determination just based on driving by, it probably indicates that there`s something about the exterior of your facility that doesn`t invoke "high quality, state-of-the-art service provider" feel.

I`ll be perfectly honest, looking at your signage and the overall look of that building, it seems a bit.... dated. There are a few tunnel washes here in my local area that haven`t seen any significant updates since the late 80s or early 90s sporting a very similar look. Now granted, there are plenty of people who still use them, but I see longer lines at other businesses that do have more modern appearing signage and storefronts.

Just something to consider, as we all know your work absolutely reflects high quality and state of the art service.

From the PR-angle perspective, I think just putting out there what your work is, what you`re capable of, etc. is the best way to let that person know that his first impression is wrong.

Interesting... when I googled "Car Pool Detailing Richmond" that other site came up first on the search with that pic. (Welcome to Car Pool Car Wash Detail Shop)

In either case, I still think the look is a bit dated as compared to the work she has shown here. Again, that`s just my opinion.

It is not people it is this one person... who is making that determination...If you physically came to our complex you would see that it is a well maintained updated facility albeit the color is blue and yellow which is well known across the city and branded with with this color scheme to appear different... In fact it is the reason most people come in while driving by because we stand out...

Gina do you even offer Opti-Guard or have you had your employees apply it before? The reason I ask is most high volume shops don`t spend time on these forums and if you`re not on these forums you will never have heard of it before. I can just about guarantee that if I called every high volume shop in MN not one of them will have heard of it before.

I know you do top notch work so please don`t take the above in a negative way.

I have offered and applied optiguard since the product has been on the market.. one of the reasons i came on the forum was to help dispel the negative image large detail shops have among in detailers on forums like this and also to market our service to a wider audience. I know several large shops like ours that offer top quality work . We stay abreast of technology and technique so that we can serve a broad spectrum of clients
