    Hello,

I am considering purchasing a vapor steamer from Kevin at Kleen Car for mobile exterior cleaning. Anyone using a steamer with ONR as a finish.

Have not read anything negative about using steam for the exterior lately.

Probably overthinking this ext cleaning process, but trying to reduce any factors to fail before I get started going mobile in a wet climate 9-months of the year. Trying to develop a process/learn to disolve the top layer of dirt on top of the clearcoat.

    Thanks,

    Ken

I have the biggest vapor cleaner available (Daimer Kleenjet 5000) and I would never attempt to wash an exterior with it. It would take a long, long time. The actual steam car wash systems might work but I have never seen one in person. Plan to spend 6k on one.

Only thing I`ve ever used the steamer on exterior-wise is to get polish/wax residue out of cracks or to clean wheels/wheel wells/exhaust tips. My Dupray Hill Injection has an "overheated water injection" feature that makes it functional for that type of duty.

I recently picked up an Optima Steamer and it does a great job for cleaning exteriors. Great power and plenty of heat. A great machine.

    Hi Thomas,

Life is good. Trying to develop a marketing plan and get a pt job before cleaning cars. It has been a grind so far. Don`t want to jump to part time cleaning since I have a FT job which is physical.

Hope all is well with you.

    Ken
