I just had a customer call about getting an interior detail. She said she has spider problems because she parks under a tree and the spiders must crawl in through the vents or somewhere else. She wants me to do a thorough cleaning to make sure the spiders are not attracted to something in the car. But I was wondering if anyone knew of some kind of trap I could put in the car that would catch them or something that would repel the spiders from coming into the car? Any info is appreciated.

Maybe a Dakota odour bomb while the vents are on recirculate ? The spiders might not like the film deposit that the odour bomb will leave behind.

Hornets and wasp hunt spiders. The obvious fix is to place some hornet and wasp nests inside the car. ;D

Need to bomb the car then thoroughly clean the interior. Then she needs to find another place to park so the problem doesn`t come back.

There are "bombs" you can buy and use in a room, but must stay out of the room for 12 to 24 hours, as I recall.

This might work in a vehicle, but I would call the Customer Service Line of the company that sells the "bombs" and ask them if there would be any residual negative effect such as turning on the air conditioner after you have "de-spidered" the car.

Actually do not ask them if there would be a problem with the air conditioner. Just ask them what they think. After they give you an answer then probe alittle more to see if they are just accomodating you or they know what they are talking about.

That could be my concern that there would be some residual chemical in the air conditioner system that could harm the driver when they turned on the ac at a later time.
